Safe Cronite has been developing forming tools for aerospace composites since the advent of titanium SPF (superplastic forming) and hot creep forming.

Part meeting extreme requirements

From metal to composite

Safe Cronite has already developed specific alloys and continues doing so today, to ensure sound performance while reducing use of nickel.

Safe Cronite has already developed specific alloys and continues doing so today, to ensure sound performance while reducing use of nickel. Radical changes in aircraft manufacturing techniques and the introduction of composite parts to replace aluminum have resulted in the emergence of a new sector: composite structure forming.

Alloys offering dimensional stability between 20 and 230°C

For this new process, we developed an alloy offering minimal thermal expansion between room temperature and 230°C, called HR21.

We also provide molded trays for hot forming presses.

We can mold tools weighing up to 3 tons.
