Computer and production control systems
Thanks to our powerful computers and our top-quality production control systems, we are able to:

  • quickly optimize the design of parts in line with the intended application;
  • check their compliance with operational requirements;
  • reliably simulate production conditions to prevent flaws; and
  • quickly produce prototypes of the final shape.

 

These fully-integrated tools, which we have been developing for over 10 years, also allow us to:

  • reduce the weight of parts by making the most of materials and processes;
  • optimize production processes and make sure they are reliable; and
  • considerably reduce development times for our customers.

 

Computer aided design

At this stage of development, it is easy to communicate with customers.

Using CAD to develop cast steel parts allows for:

  • a significant reduction in the number of parts;
  • the integration of a large number of functions; and
  • a more robust design.

Our development department can work with our customers' engineering teams using digital drawings in any format and traditional paper drawings (that are scanned beforehand).

The whole process is optimized because we are able to take into account our customers' intended use of the part and the constraints imposed by the production process. As a result, the weight of parts is reduced and costs are generally 15 to 30% lower.

 

Resistance analysis

Our aim is to make the very most of the excellent properties of cast steel by optimizing the design process according to the alloys used.

Our development department uses finite element analysis software to optimize shapes and make preliminary calculations.

 

Rapid prototyping

We are able to produce prototypes very quickly.

We have developed various rapid prototyping solutions (using paper, resin, etc.) so that our customers' development teams can carry out full-scale tests on parts.

 

Simulations

Simulations help prevent flaws.

Filling simulation techniques are used to view the liquid metal inside the mold and therefore prevent flaws caused by excessive turbulence. Solidification simulations are also performed to monitor temperature variations at different points on the part. 

This prevents flaws such as cracks and shrinkage cavities, which occur when the metal cools down too fast.

All of these techniques, which make use of simulation software, require a perfectly controlled production process and a configuration specific to each plant.
